50 Wash Guarantee – Terms & Conditions

At Geordie Print Co, we are committed to supplying high-quality Direct to Film (DTF) transfers. Our 50 Wash Guarantee is provided to ensure confidence in the durability and performance of our products, subject to the terms below.
1. Guarantee Overview
The 50 Wash Guarantee covers the durability and adhesion of DTF transfers for up to 50 washes, provided that all application and washing instructions are followed in full.
This guarantee applies to:
Custom DTF transfers
Ready-made DTF prints
DTF gangsheets supplied by Geordie Print Co
2. Application Requirements (Mandatory)
To qualify for this guarantee, all DTF transfers must be applied using the following method:
Temperature: 150°C
Press time: 10 seconds
Peel: Hot peel immediately OR within 10 seconds of pressing (must be peeled while still hot)
Repress: 10 seconds at 150°C
Pressure: Medium to firm pressure using a professional heat press
Important:
A professional heat press is required
Household irons, EasyPress machines, or handheld presses are not covered
Cold peeling is not permitted
Incorrect application, including wrong temperature, time, pressure, or peel method, will void the guarantee
3. Washing Instructions (Mandatory)
To remain eligible for the guarantee, all garments must be washed as follows:
Wash garments inside out
Maximum washing temperature: 30°C
Use standard detergent (including laundry pods)
Do NOT use fabric conditioner
Do not tumble dry (air drying recommended)
Do not dry clean
Do not iron directly over the print
Failure to follow these instructions will void the guarantee in full.
4. What Is Covered
This guarantee covers:
Cracking, peeling, or lifting of the print within 50 washes
Adhesion failure caused by a manufacturing or production fault
5. What Is Not Covered
This guarantee does not cover:
Incorrect application or use of non-professional equipment
Incorrect temperature, pressure, pressing time, or peel method
Failure to follow washing instructions
Use of fabric conditioner or incorrect washing temperature
Damage caused by tumble drying or improper care
Unsuitable garments (including waterproofs, coated fabrics, or softshell materials)
Normal wear and tear
Issues arising from customer-supplied artwork
6. Claims Process (Mandatory)
All claims must be submitted via our official claim form. Claims submitted through email, social media, or other channels will not be processed.
To submit a valid claim, customers must provide:
Clear photos of the issue
Photo of the full garment
Photo of the heat press used
Application details:
Temperature used
Pressing time
Pressure used
Washing details:
Washing temperature used
Detergent used
Confirmation that no fabric conditioner was used
Number of washes completed
Order number
Important:
Claims that do not include washing temperature or washing method will be automatically rejected
Incomplete or missing information will result in the claim not being processed
7. Resolution
If a claim is approved:
We will provide one (1) free replacement of the affected design only
Customers are required to pay £3.99 postage for the replacement
Where the original order was a gangsheet, only the affected design will be replaced, not the full gangsheet.
8. Assessment & Decision
All claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
We reserve the right to approve or reject any claim based on the evidence provided.
Claims may be declined where:
Incorrect washing or application is suspected
Insufficient evidence is provided
9. Non-Transferable
This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
10. General
By purchasing and using our DTF products, you agree to these terms.
This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
